Ohio School Resource Officer Association Names Lykins Companies "Sponsor of the Year"

The Ohio School Resource Officer Association (OSROA) recently named Lykins Companies of Milford, Ohio the association’s Sponsor of the Year. This prestigious honor goes to the company who has made the greatest impact in helping OSROA achieve its goals and mission of providing school based policing training to School Resource Officers, School Administrators and Staff throughout Ohio.
Lykins Companies’ support helped fund OSROA’s 2009 annual conference that featured several nationally recognized speakers including: Phil Chalmers who spoke about the Minds of Teen Killers; Bernie James with Pepperdine University’s Law School who presented legal updates effecting schools and a session from Great Oaks Public Safety Services on Lessons Learned from the Virginia Tech Shooting. Lykins Companies’ support also helped fund the Basic School Resource Officer Training program, The Street Smart program (providing drug and gang education), the ALICE (Alert Lockdown Inform Counter Evacuation) program that trains school staff and students on what to do if a gunman enters a school and other OSROA school based training sessions.
